Integrating Quantity and Quality to Assess Urban Green Space Improvement in the Compact City

Urban green space (UGS) has gained much attention in terms of urban ecosystems and human health. Measures to improve compact cities are important for sustainability. However, there is a knowledge gap between UGS improvement planning management. Based on the integration quantity quality, this research aims identify changes during development suggest ways space. We analyse land use changes, conduct hotspot analysis surface temperature (LST) 2005 2015 at city scale, examine small, medium large patches neighbourhood scale guide decision-makers The results show that (i) redevelopment brownfields an effective method increasing quantity, with differences depending regional functions; (ii) have significance improving quality mitigation, apparent coldspot clustering from 2015; (iii) management beneficial Green needs emphasize accommodate targeted local conditions.
